The report was authored by Deborah Cohen (BMJ features editor), and Philip Carter, a journalist who works for the Bureau of Investigative Journalism in London. In their report, Cohen states, “…our investigation has revealed damaging issues. If these are not addressed, H1N1 may yet claim its biggest victim — the credibility of the WHO and the trust in the global public health system.”
In response to the report, WHO secretary-general Dr Margaret Chan defended the secrecy, saying that WHO intentionally kept the financial ties a secret in order to “…protect the integrity and independence of the members while doing this critical work… [and] also to ensure transparency.”

It's been a good week for drug companies and an even better one for conspiracy theorists.
Last week, angered by the bumper rise in profits being reported by vaccine manufacturers as the incidence of swine flu plummets, the former head of health at the Council for Europe accused the World Health Organization of "faking" the pandemic.
"It looks like the WHO is under the influence of industry," Dr. Wolfgang Wodarg told a hearing in Strasbourg, France. "It was stated in panic-stricken terms that this was a flu that could threaten humanity. This is why billions of medications were bought."
Exhibit No. 1, Wodarg says, is the WHO's decision to soften its definition of a pandemic last April, shortly before the emergence of the H1N1 virus. By eliminating the requirement that influenza pandemics should cause "enormous morbidity and death," the WHO provoked an unnecessary "scare" that conveniently triggered the activation of "sleeping" contracts with vaccine manufacturers. Yet since the WHO's declaration of a pandemic in June, swine flu has caused just 14,000 deaths worldwide -- a fraction of the number who die from seasonal flu every year. This month, Britain's Department of Health reported that cases had fallen to such a low rate that it was cancelling its weekly press briefings.

Swine flu, Bird flu 'never happened': Probe into H1N1 'false pandemic'
Swine flu is under scrutiny once again as pharmaceutical companies are being accused of hyping up a false pandemic. The Council of Europe is putting the virus on its winter agenda which is now underway. The Council of Europe's Head of Health also claims the World Health Organisation colluded with major drug companies and changed the definition of pandemic. Doctor Wolfgang Wodarg says it ensured maximum profits, but no risks, for the firms. Now, countries like Britain, France and Germany have stockpiles of vaccines lying unused, as infections spread far less than the panic surrounding it.

The great swine flu hoax of 2009 is now falling apart at the seams as one country after another unloads hundreds of millions of doses of unused swine flu vaccines. No informed person wants the injection anymore, and the entire fear-based campaign to promote the vaccines has now been exposed as outright quackery and propaganda.
H1N1 swine flu was never dangerous, and it never should have been escalated to a level-six pandemic in the first place. It was all a big marketing scam whose purpose was to simply sell vaccines. (And the CDC and WHO were in on it…)
And it worked! Big Pharma made out with billions of dollars in profits for a useless vaccine that’s now being dumped by the truck load. These vaccines were, of course, paid for with taxpayer dollars, making the Great Swine Flu Hoax of 2009 nothing more than an elaborate financial scam whose goal was to transfer wealth from the People to the shareholders of Big Pharma.
In just the fourth quarter of 2009, GlaxoSmithKline shipped $1.4 billion worth of vaccines. (http://www.reuters.com/article/idUS…)
That’s $1.4 billion worth of taxpayer dollars, by the way. Dollars that could have been spent on nutrition or real health education. $1.4 billion worth of free vitamin D supplements would have done far more to protect public health than vaccines could ever hope to accomplish.
A bailout for Big Pharma
Wall Street hucksters have nothing on Big Pharma, the CDC and the WHO, all of which conspired to mislead the public and generate irrational fear in order to make money selling people vaccine shots they never needed in the first place.The drug companies raked in billions of dollars in revenues while providing a product that offered absolutely no net reduction in mortality. In fact, as the long-term side effects of the vaccines remain unknown, it could turn out that the vaccines actually result in a net increase in mortality.
Meanwhile, countless people were harmed by the swine flu vaccine frenzy (it’s “countless” because nobody’s counting). In addition to those who were nearly paralyzed after receiving the vaccine shots, grade school students in Massachusetts who lined up to receive swine flu vaccine shots were instead injected with insulin. The school sent a letter home to students blaming the mishap on the school nurse. But if they weren’t injecting these kids with a useless vaccine for a non-pandemic, none of this would have happened in the first place.
Total swine flu deaths for 2009 were far lower than the number of deaths from regular seasonal flu. And yet it turns out that thousands of Americans who died from the swine flu had been previously injected with the vaccines (http://www.naturalnews.com/027956_H…). In fact, according to calculations derived from official CDC estimates, thousands of vaccinated Americans died from swine flu anyway. The vaccines, it seems, don’t really work after all. You’re just as safe doing nothing.
Actually, getting the vaccine may harm your health. Outspoken Dr. Wodarg even says that the full extent of the damage from the insufficiently-tested vaccines may not be known for years. “The vaccine developed by Novartis was produced in a bioreactor from cancerous cells, a technique that had never been used until now,” he says.
Just what we need, huh? Cancer cells being injected into the population as part of a vaccine campaign.
Cancelling vaccine orders
The Swine Flu hoax has fizzled out, and countries like Greece, France and the UK have cancelled orders for vaccines that they now realize won’t be needed (http://www.reuters.com/article/idUS…) (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8…). One minute you’re running the CDC, warning the country about a pandemic while urging everybody to get vaccinated, and the next minute you’re running the for-profit vaccine division of the world’s largest drug company. Amazing how that works, huh?

Council of Europe will investigate and debate on "Faked Pandemic"
In order to promote their patented drugs and vaccines against flu, pharmaceutical companies influenced scientists and official agencies, responsible for public health standards to alarm governments worldwide and make them squander tight health resources for inefficient vaccine strategies and needlessly expose millions of healthy people to the risk of an unknown amount of side-effects of insufficiently tested vaccines.
The "birds-flu"-campaign (2005/06) combined with the "swine-flu"-campaign seem to have caused a great deal of damage not only to some vaccinated patients and to public health-budgets, but to the credibility and accountability of important international health-agencies.
The Council of Europe and its member-states should ask for immediate investigations and consequences on their national levels as well as on the international level.
The definition of an alarming pandemic must not be under the influence of drug-sellers.
Besides this, vaccination programs against influenza are already established in most of the exposed countries as an annual routine. They are regularly taking into account all expected varieties of flu-viruses to bundle their antigen fragments in a well-adjusted polyvalent vaccine.
But around the Mexican outbreak, WHO in cooperation with some big pharmaceutical companies and their scientists re-defined pandemics and lowered the alarm-threshold. Those new standards forced politicians in most states to react immediately and sign marketing commitments for additional and new vaccines against "swine-flu" and spend billions of dollars to catch up with the alarming scenario that Big Pharma, media and WHO were spreading.From the beginning in April 2009 it was clear, that a newly combined flu-virus was on its way - as many flu-virus-variations have been almost every year before. From the first cases in Mexico it was also evident, that this new subtype was doing less harm to infected humans than others in former years. Nevertheless the "swine-flu-campaign" was increasingly threatening people, filling television programs, newspapers, health-agendas, ambulances and hospitals.
Never before the search for traces of a virus was carried out so broadly and intensively. Besides, many cases of death, that happened to coincide with seropositive H1N1 lab-findings, were simply attributed to "swine-flu" and used to foster fear.
Additionally it has been proven, that at least one third of the population older than 60 had already positive test results because of flu contacts in the second half of the last century. In contrast to this "agenda setting process" it has to be stated, that the annual worldwide spreading ("pandemic") of 2009- influenza was a relief for global health, compared with the suffering, influenza waves used to originate most of the years before.
The Australian flu-season, which has already passed by with the Australian winter, has even given evidence, that the infection with "swine-flu" brings some protection against other, more dangerous virus-types. Nevertheless we have to observe, that a faked "swine-flu"- pandemic is still used for marketing risky vaccines.
The victims among millions of needlessly vaccinated people must be protected by their states and independent scientific clarification should provide evidence and transparency for national and -if necessary- European courts.

Eleven of the 20 members of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) have done work for the pharmaceutical industry or are linked to it through their universities.
Many have declared interests in GlaxoSmithKline, the vaccine maker expected to be the biggest beneficiary of the pandemic.
The disclosure of the register of interests comes just days after a health expert branded the swine flu outbreak a 'false pandemic' driven by the drug companies which stood to profit.
The Government is now trying to offload up to £1billion worth of unwanted swine flu vaccine.
Last July, the Department of Health warned of up 65,000 deaths, with 350 a day at the pandemic's peak. But the death toll now stands at just 251.
SAGE was created to give Ministers recommendations on how to control and treat the virus.
GSK, Baxter and Roche stand to make up to £1.5billion between them from Government contracts related to swine flu.
The scientists declared the interests to the Department of Health.
They were not obliged to declare the amounts they earned but they are thought to range from around £500 for a lecture or presentation to more than £100,000 for a directorship of GSK.
Some will simply be heads of university research departments which received funding from companies.
Liberal Democrat Norman Lamb said last night: 'While there is no evidence that experts acted improperly, the sheer scale of the pharmaceutical industry's influence is a cause for concern and needs to be looked at.'
However, some researchers said industry experience could only add to the scientists' knowledge, enabling them to provide the best and the most up-to-date advice.
Leading flu expert Professor John Oxford said it was right to have people with different types of experience.
He said: 'If you are giving advice about vaccines or anti-viral drugs, you can't sit in your ivory tower and think you know everything about it.'
One of the biggest earners on SAGE is the former rector of Imperial College, London, Professor Sir Roy Anderson. He is a non-executive director of GSK which also makes Relenza, the Tamiflu alternative for pregnant women.
GSK strongly denied any conflict of interest.
It said Sir Roy was asked to rejoin SAGE, which he had left to join GSK, because of his expertise.
The company said: 'He has not attended any meetings related to purchase of drugs or vaccine for either the government or GSK.'
Dr Stephen Inglis of the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control has interests in more than 40 drug companies, all connected to the NIBSC rather than himself.
He says: 'The NIBSC is a centre of the UK's Health Protection Agency, a not-for-profit public body whose purpose is to enhance and safeguard public health.
It must engage with many pharmaceutical companies and, in some instances, it is appropriate to charge them for products and services.'
The Department of Health said: 'Committee members do not take part in discussions that may involve a potential conflict of interest.'
But that raises the possibility of more than half of the handpicked advisers being shut out of key discussions.

WASHINGTON — Health officials are stressing that it is vital for pregnant women and new parents to get the swine flu vaccine to protect themselves and their children.
In the words of Tina Johnson of the American College of Nurse-Midwives: "By not getting the flu yourself, you are going to protect your children better."
Dr. Anne Schuchat of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said at a briefing Thursday that women of any trimester should get the vaccine.
"There's no benefit to waiting until you're out of the first trimester," added Dr. Laura Riley of Massachusetts General Hospital.
The swine flu, also known as H1N1, first appeared in the spring, and then spread to the southern hemisphere where thousands have been infected. It is expected to result this fall, when the normal flu season arrives in this hemisphere.
Vaccine for the seasonal flu is available in many parts of the country now and testing is under way for the swine flu vaccine, which is expected to be available in October. Experts urge people to get both seasonal and swine flu vaccinations, and not to wait to get them together.
Asked if there will be swine flu vaccines available without the preservative Thimerosal, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, said yes.
Fauci said there is no evidence that Thimerosal poses any medical hazard, but because some people are concerned about it a form of the vaccine without it will be available.

Doctors; Canada needs health czar for swine flu: to make 'unpopular decisions'

OTTAWA – The Canadian Medical Association Journal says Canada needs a national health czar with the power and independence to make unpopular but necessary decisions while coordinating the response to the swine flu pandemic.
"National leadership is needed in all countries," the journal's editor-in-chief Dr. Paul Hébert wrote in an editorial this week. "A visible independent health czar, with executive powers across all jurisdictions and who is ultimately accountable to the highest office in the country, must be in place."
Hébert said the health czar would be in charge of coordinating response to the pandemic of H1N1 influenza – which he expects to make a severe resurgence this fall – across provincial and territorial boundaries and "act at all levels of government as a second line of defence."
He also urged the government to prioritize which groups will receive vaccination and roll out its immunization program, which Ottawa said it expects to begin in November.
Hébert noted that no immunization program is guaranteed to eradicate the virus and so officials should be prepared to have a large number of severely ill and young patients filling hospital beds.
"In most jurisdictions, surge planning has not yet included how to secure experienced health care personnel and triage specialized equipment. We will also need to make hard decisions about who gets access to these limited resources," Hébert writes. "Now is the time for leaders to communicate a sense of urgency in getting modified plans finalized based on recent experiences and rapid feedback from stakeholders."
He said the health czar should immediately call a summit so everyone involved in pandemic response can talk about what to do next.
"This is not a time for complacency," Hébert wrote, adding that everyone from public health officials to first responders and the greater public need to communicate and make sure that plans work on the front lines.
"While we still hope for the best, we need to act now to deal with the worst that pandemic (H1N1) 2009 may deliver," he wrote. "Doing so will save lives."

Emory Begins Vaccinating Volunteers Today in First H1N1 Clinical Trial
(HealthNewsDigest.com) - ATLANTA — Today Emory University researchers began vaccinating volunteer participants in the first of several planned clinical trials of a new H1N1 vaccine. The clinical trials are being conducted by the eight Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Units (VTEUs), supported by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Emory began signing up several hundred interested volunteers about two weeks ago and has been screening the volunteers to make sure they fit certain criteria. Volunteers will receive their first vaccinations over the first week of the trial and will return several times over the course of nine weeks to receive additional vaccinations and blood tests.
The Emory clinical trial will evaluate the safety and immune response to an H1N1 vaccine and also help determine how the pandemic flu shot should be given along with the seasonal flu shot to make it most effective. Participants will receive two H1N1 vaccinations concurrent with, before, or after, the seasonal flu shot.
The trials are being conducted in a compressed timeframe because of the possible fall resurgence of pandemic H1N1 flu infections that may coincide with the circulation of seasonal flu strains in the Northern Hemisphere.
The trials are expected to gather critical information that will allow the NIH to quickly evaluate the new vaccines to determine whether they are safe and effective in inducing protective immune responses. The results will help determine how to begin a fall 2009 pandemic flu vaccination program.
The U. S. government declared the H1N1 outbreak a public health emergency in April and two months later, the World Health Organization classified the outbreak a pandemic, reflecting its widespread nature.
“We have had a tremendous response from volunteers wanting to participate in the clinical trials,” says Mark Mulligan, MD, principal investigator of the Emory VTEU and executive director of the Hope Clinic of the Emory Vaccine Center. “Hopefully this will make it much easier to have a vaccine available for the fall flu season. We are very appreciative of the efforts of our volunteers.”
This first adult clinical trial as well as subsequent pandemic vaccine clinical trials will be conducted at the Emory Vaccine Center’s Hope Clinic in nearby Decatur. Pediatric clinical trials will be initiated one week after the first adult trial and will be conducted at the Emory-Children’s Center on Emory University’s campus. Harry Keyserling, MD, and Paul Spearman, MD, co-directors of the Emory VTEU, lead the pediatric studies at Emory-Children’s Center.
The VTEUs were established in 1962 as a vital research component of the NIAID. The units conduct clinical trials for all infectious diseases other than HIV/AIDS. They have conducted hundreds of clinical studies over the past four decades. Emory was designated a VTEU site in 2007 and received a seven-year contract of approximately $23.7 million.
An important strength of the VTEUs is their ability to rapidly enroll large numbers of volunteers into trials and to immunize the volunteers in a safe, effective and efficient manner. This rapid-response capability is especially important for testing vaccines designed to combat pandemic influenza. Results are expected to be available weeks after the trials begin.
In addition to Emory, VTEU sites are Baylor College of Medicine, Houston; Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati; Group Health Cooperative, Seattle; Saint Louis University, St. Louis; University of Iowa, Iowa City; University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore; and Vanderbilt University, Nashville. They will be joined for these studies by Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City and Duke University Medical Center.

New political powers to quarantine, close schools may be tested in flu outbreak
WINNIPEG — A resurgence of swine flu anticipated this fall could test new provincial powers that include being able to place sick people under quarantine in their homes and shut down schools.
Many provinces have passed updated public health acts in recent years to give them the right to do whatever a medical health officer feels is necessary to curb the spread of a communicable disease.
None of the powers has been used so far in the new H1N1 outbreak, but that could change if the country is hit with another wave of the flu, says Manitoba's top health official.
"We haven't had to quarantine or limit restrictions in the community based on our current situation," said Dr. Bunmi Fatoye, the province's acting chief public health officer.
"Would we have to do that in the future? We may. It all depends on how the disease evolves in the fall. That would determine what measures to take, if we think that method of quarantine would limit the spread of the disease."
Manitoba's revamped public health act came into effect in April, just as the H1N1 virus was emerging. When the bill to amend the act was first introduced in 2005, the chief public health officer said it was needed to stop disease from spreading "particularly in the early stages of a pandemic."
One way of curbing the spread of a deadly, uncontrollable disease is to prevent large numbers of people from gathering, Fatoye said.
"Schools might be closed down. That's one way of limiting it," she said. "If you don't have to go out, then don't go out. But those are usually very, very severe measures. I'm not sure if we're going to get there, but we can't say until we see how the disease will play out in the fall."
About five dozen people in Canada have died of swine flu and thousands more have fallen ill. Experts are concerned those numbers will rise when temperatures start to cool and the virus is transmitted more efficiently.
Arlene King, Ontario's chief medical health officer, said Canada could be grappling with four different types of flu come fall. Up until now, it hasn't been necessary to rely on the province's public health legislation which was strengthened in 2007.
But if King believes people's health is at risk, she has the power to "investigate the situation and take such action as he or she considers appropriate to prevent, eliminate or decrease the risk." That could include closing schools, isolating the ill and forcing others to undergo medical exams.
But just because she has new wide-ranging powers, that doesn't mean she would jump at the chance to use them, she said.
"We have to be very cautious in exercising these powers."
Maureen Baikie, deputy chief medical health officer for Nova Scotia, said the province updated its public health act after SARS hit Canada in 2003. The top health official can now quarantine the ill, interview anyone who has been in contact with a sick person and do anything else that could help prevent the spread of a virus.
"It's significant authority that we have that is there if we need it," she said. "But there is a difference between having the authority and actually using it."
Most people who are seriously ill want to do the right thing and follow the advice of public health officials, she said. People aren't ordered into quarantine without first being given the chance to isolate themselves, she pointed out.
"We always try and balance individual rights versus the public good," said Baikie, who added that someone who is ordered into quarantine and is unable to work may also be compensated for their loss of income.
"They're doing something for the public good. We need to help them to do that."
British Columbia brought in a new public health act last year which was described as giving health officials "stronger powers to protect the public against communicable diseases such as pandemic influenza."
Under the new act, the province can order vaccinations or examinations and quarantine people. Health officials can also enforce the act using peace officers, warrants and even court orders.
Brian Emerson, medical consultant with the British Columbia government, said officials now have more authority to respond to a health emergency. But he warned that not all the weapons in the public health act's arsenal are effective against swine flu.
"Because of the rapid spread and easy way it gets transmitted person to person, doing something like large-scale quarantine and isolation just isn't a measure that is generally used for influenza," he said.
"Because such large numbers of people get affected so quickly, chasing down individual cases of influenza and instituting quarantine and isolation measures ... it has no effect on the spread of disease."

A Walmart official said the retailer might provide sites for swine flu vaccination efforts or help with logistics and the supply chain.
He said about 140 million people visit Walmart stores each week.
Health officials have said about half the nation's population should be vaccinated to guard against swine flu.
About 160 million doses of the flu vaccine will be available in mid-October.

A Philosophical Argument against Forced Vaccination
Note: This essay deals only with the philosophical argument against forced vaccination by the state.
A few years ago I entered into a discussion with a close friend regarding vaccination. This person stated that their child was not up to date with state recommended vaccinations and was debating internally whether or not she felt they were necessary. Without being asked my opinion, my reaction was quite strong in favor of vaccination and I made common claims that vaccinations were for the ‘common social good’ and that we all had to ‘do our part for society.’ Days later I thought back on the encounter and was surprised at how undiplomatically I pursued this argument. I had never researched vaccines, the potential health benefits or risks, or sought information from a variety of sources as one would commonly do before making an argument on any important subject. Regardless of our differing opinions I was only able to bring to the discussion force to try to convince her of my opinion – I offered no information, cited no facts or statistics in my debate – the apparent ‘will of the people’ which my ignorance represented was argument enough. Was this enough to base a decision on concerning the health and well-being of a child?
In 2006 I found out that I was going to be a father. A close friend of mine suggested I do some research on vaccines and sent me information from a variety of sources. At the time I was sure vaccination was the route to go, despite the fact I still had no solid information, facts or research to base my opinion on – only the widely accepted idea that vaccines were responsible for ridding western society from small pox, polio as well as many other diseases and that any child without his shots was a threat to the health of all of us and furthermore that the parent was being irresponsible. These ideas were backed up by the media and rest of society. But I became utterly consumed with the topic, buying many books, watching documentaries, listening to lectures, looking at University studies and reading articles from many countries. It is safe to say I spent hundreds of hours on the subject looking at information from a vast array of sources – pro & con vaccine.
Needless to say when I really dove into the subject, I was alarmed at the amount of conventional medical history and government statistics that showed both the ineffectiveness and oftentimes outright harm that vaccinations could cause. As a member of society that deemed all children without shots as somehow a threat to its well being, and would bar them from the school yard as well as brand any parent who did not agree with them a heretic, I’d never been offered contrary information about the effectiveness of shots by primary education or the media who advocate them. What about the other side? Did I not deserve the best information with which to make an informed decision by?
In my basic understanding from school or mainstream media such as TV, I’d been taught about the miracle findings of Jonas Salk & Albert Sabin with their polio ‘cures’ – but had I been taught about SV-40? No. SV-40 is the 40th simian virus which was discovered in the monkey kidneys used to manufacture the polio vaccine (yes most vaccines are from monkey, chicken or bovine organs or tissue). For a period of years and debatably decades until the 1990’s, polio vaccines were administered by law (and thereby force) that at the time unknowingly contained SV-40 to millions of people. SV-40 undoubtedly causes cancer in many animals, and many controversial studies have shown it does the same in humans. Was I given this information? No. Was I taught about contraindications? No. Contraindications are health concerns such as family history of autoimmune or neurological disorders, allergies that conflict with vaccines and can cause minor or major reactions. With a family history of severe autoimmune disorders and an undiagnosed neurological episode of my own as a teenager this information could be critical to me. Why was I not taught to protect myself or to research to find my own opinion at least? It should be noted that more research is needed to discover why these contraindications cause such severe health problems – the simple fact is that as much as doctors know, they do not know everything and more research is needed. Again this essay is not dealing with medical arguments against vaccination – I am raising such issues to show that the medical community is by no means all-knowing and that common means by which we receive information rarely show us enough to make an informed decision. These decisions require much research and careful thought if they are to be made well. The medical opinions and advances of one generation that are hailed as miracles are always surely to be laughed at by the next. Common use of asbestos and lead – both deemed safe by the medical community at the time by the prestigious Melon Institute, or Lipitor and Vioxx in recent years are proof of this. As much as they do not wish to believe – those who put their faith into science alone and not the full scope of reason are using just that – faith – which those same scientists may consider absent of reason. Science is ever changing and evolving and we should consider this when making important decisions about our health – especially if these ‘decisions’ are imposed by law, and thereby force.
It is quite acceptable for a woman to have an abortion in America and while I recognize this subject is taboo and am not going to make an argument for or against abortion I’m going to use it to make a point. If that makes you uncomfortable, ask yourself why and question your beliefs (on either side). It is common belief that a woman has a right to an abortion because the child is ‘her body.’ It would be entirely unacceptable for a woman to be kept from an abortion or forced into one because this would be an infringement on her right to choose for her own body. Yet that same woman must by law submit her body and her child’s body to an ever increasing list of vaccinations that can cause serious short and long term health risks or in rare cases death. Given this conflict presented by current laws does the woman have an absolute right to decide what’s best for her body? No she does not. This shows the ineptness and unprincipled tinkering of our lawmakers and the often arbitrary thinking of the collective as well. Whether you believe in abortion or oppose it, believe in vaccination or oppose it, it is quite obvious that there is not by law a clear definition of the right of the individual to ownership of his or her body. Lease is a better word, granted by the state. And since children are not responsible for themselves, it could be said their bodies are leased to parents by the state as well with a strict set of guidelines to be followed, punishable by force. By what right do they claim this ownership?
The collective also seems quite willing to support its beliefs even if on the sole basis that vaccination is in certain cases required by law. It does not seem to question the laws or the body imposing these laws and its role or effectiveness (or lack thereof). Are we to believe the same government that has broken its own constitutional laws with aggressive wars on false pretenses is without error in regards to our health? Even the most ardent war supporters would admit Rumsfeld’s blunders in this area. Should we submit our ability to reason to a government that has plunged our nation into 60 billion dollars in debt with total unfunded obligations? Can a government capable of such an economic failure be without error in the case of vaccinations? Are we to believe these laws are not merely to benefit the products of the vaccine makers who spend millions lobbying in Washington; products that are sometimes mandatory and through government enabled monopoly are often unimproved for decades as in the case of DPT? Are we to believe a group of bureaucrats with a history of failures are without fault in determining 100% what is best for our bodies, regardless of how just the laws are? Is this a system to rest our faith and the health of our children on?
No well researched, honest nurse, doctor, or even bureaucrat would deny the risk involved in vaccinations especially since the Vaccine Injury Compensation Fund has awarded over a billion dollars to families of children harmed by vaccinations since it was started in 1988. In light of this and the principles of liberty this nation was founded on, we should be free to decline and make decisions as we see fit without having to navigate difficult unjust laws. Instead we are forced to hand responsibility over to our doctors and government who don’t have to live with the consequences or raise disabled children. Their only answer is to hand us money as an apology for their bad policy, as if that is adequate compensation for any physical or mental injuries as well as the submission of our bodies, our minds ability to reason, and our rights as free individuals.
